Garlic Parmesan Mushrooms & Onions

Do you know what I love most about mushrooms and onions?  I don’t have to share them!  I know that sounds super mean, but it’s one of the few things my husband doesn’t like, which means I get to eat them all to myself.

Although these don’t come hubby-approved, I can guarantee you that they are mouthwateringly good.  What’s not to love?!  Mushrooms + onions + garlic + butter + cheese = HEAVEN.  Well, if you like all of the above 🙂

Here’s what you’ll need …

Slice your mushrooms…

 Slice up your onions, mince your garlic and melt your butter …

 Add mushrooms and onions to the hot skillet …

 Add your garlic salt (I just LOVE garlic salt!) …

 Add in your minced garlic (there’s no such thing as too much garlic!) …

Sprinkle in some paresam cheese …

Mix everything together and let the mushrooms and onions brown a bit …

Transfer everything to a serving dish and top with some more parmesan cheese to garnish … and ENJOY!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large portobello mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large sweet onion, sliced and quartered
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 2 – 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter on medium high heat
  • Add mushrooms, onions and garlic; cook about 15 minutes on all sides until done, stirring occasionally
  • Add garlic salt and stir
  • Add 1/2 the Parmesan cheese to the skillet and cook until just melted
  • Place mushrooms in a bowl and sprinkle with the remainder of the  Parmesan cheese
Serve these yummy, delicious, delectable Garlic Parmesan Mushrooms & Onions with your favourite meat dish.  I served them with Grape Jelly & Sriracha Pork Tenderloin and they complemented it perfectly!
