Aren’t artichokes funny looking things? They’re like something from the dark ages that you would find a dinosaur eating. Good thing they’re delicious!
My friend Heather hosted a party a few years back, which is where I discovered this delicious dip. It was a hippy-themed party and so much fun. Why is it that themed parties are so much better than regular parties? I have no idea, but they just are. Slap a theme on a party and instant fun, guaranteed. Well, almost.
Anyway, I got a little sidetracked there about themed parties. What I really wanted to write about was the amazing dip Heather served at her hippie party. It was so good that people gathered around and mowed down until it was all gone. And people have been doing that every time I’ve made it since.
The best part about this dip, besides how yummy it tastes? How easy it is to make and how few ingredients you need to make it!
Here’s my step-by-step guide to Heather’s super easy, 4 ingredient Parmesan & Artichoke Dip.
Measure out your parmesan cheese …
Add in your chopped green onions …
Chop up your artichokes and add them to the rest of the ingredients in the bowl …
Mix everything together until it’s well combined …
Place the dip in a serving dish and spread it evenly …
Refrigerate until you’re ready to serve it to you guests or place it in the oven if you’d prefer a warm dip (it tastes delicious either way) …
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 can/jar artichoke hearts, chopped
- 2 green onions, chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, artichoke hearts and green onions to a bowl and mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to and ovensafe dish and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until bubbly.
TIP: This dip can also be served cold and unbaked. Just refrigerate until ready to serve.
I’ve served this dip both ways – baked and unbaked – and although I like it each way, my favourite is baked. I mean, who can resist melted, bubbly cheese?!
