This is so true.
I also love waking up on a Saturday morning. Not only is it the weekend (YAY!) … it also means a fresh batch of 49 extra WW points!
I had a pretty good week WW-wise. I tracked every single day, went to hot yoga twice and drank all my suggested water daily. I wasn’t perfect, of course, but it was probably the best WW week I’ve had in a long time. Success!
Because I was so good last week, I was expecting to see a BIG loss on the scale yesterday morning. However, that was not the case. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little disappointed when my WW leader revealed that I had only lost 0.9lbs. She didn’t say it that way, of course, but that’s how I heard it since I was expecting something more along the lines of 2.9lbs.
Part of me wanted to stomp right out of that meeting room and straight to my fridge, but I decided to stay for the meeting … and am I ever glad that I did. The meeting is what sets me up for the week and allows me to reset my brain, and it did just that. Hearing how happy some members were to lose 0.2lbs – or even to stay the same – really put into perspective that 0.9lbs is a decent loss. Sure, it’s not what I was expecting and hoping for, but it’s still something. And besides, this weight loss journey is a marathon, not a race.
This week I am going to try to exercise a min. of 3 times and also continue to track every bite, lick and taste (BLT). If I bite it, I’m gonna write it. And that started yesterday – even after a fish & chip lunch (with gravy!) … a hot chocolate and donut from Tim Hortons … and a beer. I am going to track the good, band and the ugly … no matter what.
Who’s with me?!
